Several reports of waterspouts have been submitted to the National Weather Service in Ruskin today, including one in Old Tampa Bay. The waterspout in Old Tampa Bay is the storm that prompted the tornado warning earlier, no damage has been reported at this time.
I have included some pictures of today’s waterspouts, courtesy of Bay News 9.
A waterspout moving ashore from upper Tampa Bay prompted a tornado warning for west Hillsborough County. The tornado is near Courtney Campbell Causeway, Town N Country and Tampa Intl Airport.

All clear everyone.. this was a real close one though. The storm made a last second right turn near Lewisville and traveled 4 miles south of us into Plano. The rotation diminished a bit so chances are at the time the rotation was closest to us the storm was probably not producing a tornado, but there was still rotation.
This was a legit threat too as this storm was tornado warned for an hour and a half, plus amateur radio operators spotted a debris cloud and power flashes 22 miles west of Frisco. Additionally I saw power flashes when I was leaving work so this was absolutely a legitimate warning.
Ill give updates later…
Tornado warning issud for Denton and Collin Counties including Frisco. This warning box does include Frisco, i am a big suprized the sirens arent going off. ETA puts it at 7:15 now.

This is for the core of Tampa too, I see no strong rotation on radar but it is still entirely possible a small scale funnel formed.
